Boris Feyodorovich Shalikashvili (born circa 1930), also known as Boris Badenov, was an infamous secret agent who appeared in The Cold War.

A real no-goodnik

Teamed with longtime domestic partner Natasha Fatale, Badenov was actually a quadruple-agent, pledging allegiance at various times to the USA, USSR, his home country of Pottsylvania, and Notre Dame. In a rare interview with Rotten Guys magazine in 1961, he listed his hobbies as "long walks on the beach, Bulgarian cuisine, and keeling moose and sqvirrel."

Relationship with Rocky and Bullwinkle

Despite their dust-ups during the filming of The Cold War, Badenov later became close friends with fellow spies Rocket J. Squirrel and Bullwinkle J. Moose, serving as Bullwinkle's best man at his wedding to Jennifer Aniston in 1995. (The fact that a bomb exploded at the ceremony, killing 23 and wounding over two hundred guests, was dismissed by Bullwinkle as "one of them wacky co-winky-dinkys.")

TV career

After co-starring in Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends in the sixties, Badenov starred in a variety of projects, including the sitcoms My Three Spies and Boris Loves Bernie. He also assayed dramatic roles in such series as Mannix and Ironsides, and starred as Saint Lennie of Briscoe's original boss on Law & Order. Today, he hosts Countdown! With Boris Badenov on MSNBC.
