A subplot of The Cold War, The Berlin Wall was constructed so that the citizens of East Berlin could only receive television signals from Russia.

In the final episode of The Cold War, President Ronald Reagan tore down the wall with his bare hands, thus permitting television signals from the west to once again reach the East Berliners.
