Baywatch was a long-running series of infomercials hosted by German electronic music impressario and former cylon dupe David Hasselhoff, in which cases of tanning lotion were peddled to suburban housewives. After Hasselhoff left to head up S.H.I.E.L.D., consumers lost interest and the company folded.
