Band of Brothers
From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.
Band of Brothers was a World War II spin-off, produced by Tom Hanks, about the Johnson brothers (Jack, John, Stan, T.B., and Josh), a swing band who got sent into overseas conflict against the Nazis. They had to deal with the brutal realities of combat while still having to find the courage to play jaunty melodies every night.
The song the brothers recorded the night before they shipped overseas, That Thing You Do proved to be a minor hit when it was later covered by both Frank Sinatra and Harry Connick Jr..
