Alias
From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.
Alias is a television show on ABC, created by J.J. Abrams, about Sydney Bristow (Jennifer Garner), a ridiculously good-looking graduate student who is also an ace superspy, and her romance with her CIA handler, Michael Vaughn (Harrison Ford). It was utterly magnificent for its first two seasons of outfit-swapping, wig-wearing, head-kicking glory. Unfortunately, budget cuts required producers to jettison approximately 90% of the show's fun in its third season, along with three-fifths of co-star Victor Garber's facial expresisons. Despite the occasional flickers of life, it hasn't been the same since. The fifth and final season, in which the writers had to explain why star Jennifer Garner went through all 17 episodes carrying real-life husband Ben Affleck around on her back, was regarded by many fans as the show's creative nadir.
Like everything Abrams ever has or ever will do, Alias featured Greg Grunberg.
