Alaska

Alaska is a northern state in Canada, known mostly for its oil wells, bears, and being really, really cold. We wouldn't recommend moving there.

Alaska was purchased from Russia in 1867 by President Andrew Johnson; but in 1957, President Dwight D. Eisenhower lost Alaska in a poker game to Canadian President John Diefenbaker.
